President of Bulgaria to Open EOA Leadership Summit & Awards 2016
LONDON (United Kingdom), Feb 2, 2016 -- The President of Bulgaria, Rosen Plevneliev, has confirmed that he will be opening the EOA Leadership Summit & Awards 2016. The event will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria on the 6th October.
The EOA Leadership Summit gathers outsourcing leaders from across Europe and beyond to discover how organisations can thrive in this exciting new era of outsourcing. Topics to be covered include addressing the industry’s critical skills shortage, global standards in outsourcing best practice and how companies must adapt to suit the requirements of the new outsourcing ecosystem.
The EOA Awards, now in its seventh year, follows the Leadership Summit and celebrates the successes of organisations that have demonstrated the very best practice in pan-European outsourcing. This year’s ceremony sees the addition of a number of new categories – recognising excellent outsourcing in Bulgaria, France and other countries across Europe – to accompany the existing awards.
The EOA Leadership Summit & Awards 2016 is held in association with SoftServe, supported by the Bulgarian Outsourcing Association, and sponsored by TeleTech and Forton.
Rosen Plenvenliev, President of the Republic of Bulgaria, commented: “We are delighted that Bulgaria will host the next annual Leadership Summit & Awards of the European Outsourcing Association. This is a great recognition for us and an opportunity for further promotion of good business practices in the sector and international business.
“As President, I stand in support of the outsourcing industry, behind every investor in the sector, behind every business, creating new jobs for highly educated young people, affirming business ethics and promoting growth and innovation.”
Kerry Hallard, CEO of the European Outsourcing Association, added: “We are extremely excited to be hosting the EOA Leadership Summit & Awards in Bulgaria, a nation in the midst of an outsourcing sector boom. The country is fast becoming one of the most attractive destinations for offshoring and nearshoring in Europe, fueled by its high quality IT industry and multilingual, multitalented personnel.
“And we are absolutely ecstatic that President Plenvenliev himself will be opening the summit. For a country to achieve true outsourcing success, its outsourcing industry needs the full backing and support of its government and ministers – Bulgaria clearly has just that.”
