With the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) getting high on the businesses' agenda

Bulgarian Outsourcing Association in co-operation with Wolf Theiss and Mr.Octavio Brito

Passionate Data Privacy and Information Security German specialist shared to its members and other business colleagues practical legal and operational guidance on the compliance with the Regulation during a workshop on December 4th, 2017 in Sofia.

Being a strategic partner to BOA and having worked in tight cooperation together over the past few years, Wolf Theiss was once again invited to provide practical guidance on the legal framework the business should consider in order to be in compliance with the GDPR.
Wolf Theiss Partner Maria Maxim, provided an overview of the legal framework to the leading local and international companies offering outsourcing services in Bulgaria. The participants appreciated the practical guidance on the key principles, the legal grounds and the specific actions they need to be prepared for in readiness of May 25, 2018 when the Regulation enters into force. Maria provided additional practical insight answering various questions from HR, operational and organizational standpoint.
In addition Mr. Brito who brings 30 years of working experience in the finance, automotive and insurance branch shared his knowledge on the operational aspect of the GDPR and gave great practical examples from his own experience.
Considering the significant interest of the local business and the positive feedback after the workshop, we look forward to organizing follow-up meetings on the GDPR compliance with business executives in Sofia.
